My reproductions are all giclée on
canvas. The word Giclée is from the French and means
"to spray" and is the most advanced method of
reproduction in use today. Using the most technologically
advanced equipment each painting is digitally photographed
(with a 108 mega pixel camera!) under professional lighting
conditions then transferred directly into a state of the
art computer graphic program for color correcting and
proofing. At this stage the painting is refined by the
artist and the technician specialist to ensure that the colors
are exactly as the artist intended and that all the detail,
clarity and brilliance of the original art are retained. Now
the painting is ready to be printed on machines that "jet
spray" the colors directly on to a prepared canvas or
museum quality archival paper.
My giclées are produced on the
most advanced printers with state of the art pigments (not
inks) designed to meet the rigorous and precise criteria of
museums, galleries, publishers, and collectors. The result is a
print that is as rewarding visually as it is technically.Please
note, as with any fine art painting, a giclée should not
be displayed in direct or overhead sunlight. Each of my
giclées are signed and numbered.
